Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: HBR Layout, Bengaluru
Reports to: Accountant / Finance Manager
Role Overview:

The Assistant Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of reports. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating accounting records and files.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions (invoices, receipts, vouchers, etc.).
  • Support in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Handle petty cash management and expense tracking.
  • Support with tax filings, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for financial data collection.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Accountant/Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (freshers with internships may apply).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Tally/ERP/SAP preferred.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
