Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a team of assembly operators (MI/PTH assemblers, solderers, etc.) to meet daily production targets.
  • Allocate personnel and resources effectively based on the production plan and component requirements.
  • Monitor line performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as First Pass Yield (FPY), Throughput, and Cycle Time.
  • Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and documentation (e.g., assembly drawings, BOMs, work instructions) are available and correct at the start of the shift and throughout the run.
  • Identify, report, and address any quality issues or process deviations immediately.
  • Work with the Quality department to implement corrective actions for recurring defects.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing operators on proper assembly techniques, machine operation (if applicable), and safety procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Handle minor personnel issues and escalate major concerns to the Production Supervisor/Manager.
