Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Chatbot Developer with at least 2 years of experience in building and deploying large-scale, customer-facing chatbot solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills, experience with system integrations, and an interest in improving chatbot performance through analytics and continuous enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain chatbot features across web, mobile, and messaging platforms.
• Build backend services and conversational logic using and Python.
• Integrate chatbots with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, and microservices.
• Design and refine conversational flows, intents, entities, and NLP components.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert requirements into working chatbot functionality.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance performance, quality, and user experience.
• Support knowledge management activities including structuring content and preparing training datasets.
• Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and optimization exercises.
• Execute unit testing and contribute to documentation and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in chatbot development or conversational AI.
• Strong proficiency in and Python.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, and backend service development.
• Understanding of NLP fundamentals such as intents, entities, and dialog flows.
• Experience working with analytics to monitor chatbot performance and improve outcomes.
• Exposure to DevOps practices such as CI/CD, version control (Git), and basic deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies including sprints, user stories, and iterative development.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with platforms like Dialogflow, Rasa, Bot Framework, or similar.
• Exposure to knowledge base creation, ingestion, and chatbot training workflows.
• Familiarity with metrics such as user engagement, confidence scores, deflection rates, and conversation quality.
• Understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), or CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Soft Skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn new tools and technologies.
• Structured and process-oriented mindset with a desire to improve workflows continuously.
