Job Title:
Corporate Counsel

Key Responsibilities

Contract Lifecycle Management

Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements (procurement, vendor, customer, partnership, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, etc.).

  1. Maintain and improve the contract repository and tracking systems to ensure timely renewals, amendments, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  2. Support business teams in contract risk assessments and ensure alignment with company policies.

SaaS Terms & Licensing

Review and update SaaS subscription terms, service agreements, and online terms of use.

  1. Work closely with product and commercial teams to align legal terms with product offerings and SLAs.

Case & Labour Law Management

Manage and coordinate litigation, notices, and disputes, including labour and employment matters.

  1. Liaise with external counsel on ongoing cases, prepare briefs, track deadlines, and maintain case files.
  2. Advise HR on employee-related legal matters including disciplinary actions, terminations, and statutory compliance under labour laws.

Data Protection & Compliance

Provide first-line advice on data protection obligations (Indian and international, including GDPR basics).

  1. Support privacy compliance efforts, including contract addenda, DPIAs, and responses to data subject requests in coordination with the privacy team.

Desired Profile

  • Education:
    LLB (minimum) from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    2–3 years of in-house legal experience handling contracts, employment law issues, and compliance and exposure to SaaS or technology industry contracts.
  • Familiarity with basic data protection principles and labour laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and contract/case management tools.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing deadlines.
