Roles and Responsibilities:

•
The Senior engineer will be responsible in owning key design and development responsibilities in the current and future stack engineering of Amphora's core symphony platform/product suite.

•
The remit will include making the key designs and development of key components as well as leading a development team in delivery of key components in the stack defined by the HOD.

•
He she will work under the direction of the Company CTO and HOD and work very closely with the team to execute and deliver the product that will include short term performance and stability engineering as well as playing a leading/key role in Amphora's effort build its next generate industry differentiating product.

•
The role will also work with rest of technology organization to improve the SDLC rigor including automated testing, automated build and deployment, design and coding best practices.

•
Be a proactive leader in active engagement to resolve issues, collaborate with rest of the development organization to deliver the technology strategy defined by CTO and the company strategy defined by CEO.
Experience and Expertise:

•
Around 8-10 years of hands-on experience in software design, software development and deployment.

•
Recent experience in holding a senior or lead engineer role in technology/ product organization.

•
Detailed knowledge and experience in design patterns spanning all layers of an application architecture (Front end, Mid-tier, business logic layer, integration and data layer)

•
Very good experience in designing efficient, scalable and performant business logic and execution engines, life-cycle management platforms with deep knowledge in concurrent programming, race conditions, atomic/consistent processing as well as rule /logic externalization, domain specific languages (DSL).

•
Strong hands-on development and design experience in technologies like Java (8/9), Java Spring including Spring Boot and Micro services, hibernate (or other ORM tools) is a must.

•
Having experience in functional programming like Kotlin, Scala will be a definite advantage especially in implementing business logic components.

•
Experience in playing a Senior Engineer role in a product engineering organization is preferable.

•
Experience in using unit (Junit), component and integration testing including Behavior driven development (BDD) like Cucumber /Gherkin scripting as part of development process, using continuous integration (Jenkins, Teamcity) and using build tools like Maven, Gradle is must.

Ability to instrument code, monitor application execution, identify issues and solving them objectively and performance engineering are key needs.

Knowledge in database architecture, writing performant SQL and understanding and appreciation of how databases work and utilizing efficient ORM technologies /or alternate efficient data access tools is very important.

Must be a strong team player and should be able to work with different locations in Asia, Europe and America.

Experience in working in agile delivery model and knowledge in Agile methodologies

•
Experience in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a definite added advantage.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science or engineering proficiencies from a reputed engineering or science university.
