Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

M365 Ecosystem Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Microsoft 365 core collaboration services, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the technical roadmap for the M365 collaboration platform, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new M365 features, applications, and updates, providing technical guidance to stakeholders on their impact and benefits.
  • Design and enforce comprehensive governance, security, and compliance policies across the collaboration platforms (e.g., data loss prevention, retention policies, external sharing controls).

Technical Administration & Operations

  • Lead the administration and configuration of the M365 tenant, focusing on optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Manage and maintain hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems (e.g., Active Directory, Exchange) and Azure AD/M365.
  • Provide expert-level third-tier escalation support for complex collaboration-related incidents, performing deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) and implementing permanent remediation.
  • Utilize PowerShell scripting and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate/Apps) to streamline administrative tasks, generate reports, and enforce configurations.
  • Administer and manage other critical collaboration platforms, specifically Zoom (meetings, webinars, and room systems), ensuring integration and operational excellence.

Development & Enhancement

  • Guide and implement solutions for SharePoint Online and Teams (e.g., custom sites, apps, workflows, integrations) to meet specific business requirements.
  • Drive the adoption and successful implementation of Microsoft Copilot, developing guidance for users and ensuring the underlying data structure is secure and optimized for AI functionality.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance user experience, productivity, and collaboration through the strategic deployment of M365 features.
