Cognos Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cognos Developer with strong experience in dashboard development, database management, and stored procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building interactive dashboards, optimizing data models, and integrating complex data sources to support business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using IBM Cognos Analytics.

• Build and maintain Framework Manager models and data packages.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting needs.

• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and usability across all BI solutions.

• Integrate Cognos with various databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.

• Implement security protocols and manage user access within Cognos.

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing reports and dashboards.

• Document technical specifications, data flows, and dashboard/report usage.

RequirementsRequired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in IBM Cognos BI development.

• Strong experience in dashboard creation using Cognos Analytics (11.x).

• Proficiency in SQL, including writing and debugging stored procedures.

• Experience with relational databases and data modeling.

• Strong knowledge of Report Studio, Framework Manager, and Workspace Advanced.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Exposure to other BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

• Domain experience in retail is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹120,000.00 per month
