Role Overview

The
Compliance Officer
will lead all aspects of regulatory and operational compliance for Inocyx's crypto exchange business. This role requires deep understanding of
financial regulations, AML/CFT laws, blockchain compliance standards
, and evolving
crypto-asset frameworks
both in India and internationally.

The candidate will also act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, financial intelligence units, and partner institutions to ensure Inocyx operates within full legal and ethical boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Legal Compliance

  • Develop and oversee the company's compliance framework in accordance with
    FIU-IND, PMLA, RBI, SEBI
    , and global crypto regulations (FATF / VASP).
  • Interpret and apply key laws such as:
  • Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA)
  • Information Technology Act (2000)
  • Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA)
  • Companies Act (2013)
  • Personal Data Protection Bill (DPDP Act)
  • FATF Travel Rule Guidelines
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports — STRs, CTRs, and audit documentation — to FIU-IND and other authorities.
  • Support in drafting and reviewing
    user agreements, privacy policies, and terms of service
    from a compliance and legal perspective.

KYC / KYB / AML Management

  • Supervise customer onboarding and ongoing due diligence processes (KYC, KYB, EDD).
  • Manage AML systems to detect suspicious transactions and ensure compliance with CFT standards.
  • Work with blockchain analytics partners for
    on-chain risk scoring, wallet screening
    , and
    source of funds validation
    .

Internal Controls & Policy Governance

  • Create and update compliance manuals, internal control procedures, and whistleblower policies.
  • Conduct
    risk assessments
    and
    gap analyses
    to identify and mitigate compliance vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor and audit daily operations to ensure adherence to all internal and external compliance obligations.

Training & Culture

  • Deliver compliance awareness and AML training programs for all employees.
  • Promote a compliance-driven culture throughout the organization.

Regulatory Liaison & Reporting

  • Act as the point of contact for regulators, auditors, banks, and legal authorities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audit trails and regulatory submissions.
  • Advise management on compliance implications of new products or markets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in
    Law, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Master's or LLB preferred.
  • 3–6 years
    of experience in
    compliance, legal, or risk management
    , preferably in
    crypto, fintech, or financial institutions.

Preferred Certifications (Any of the following):

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
    – ACAMS
  • Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI)
    – Blockchain Intelligence Group
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP)
  • NISM Series-III-A / Series-VII
    – Securities and Compliance Certification (India)
  • Certified Blockchain & KYC/AML Professional (CBKAP)
    – Blockchain Council
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E or CIPP/Asia)
    – IAPP
  • Diploma in Cyber Law / Fintech Regulations
    (recognized by NALSAR, ILI, or similar)
