Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, skilled, and customer-oriented waiter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional who can create a positive and memorable dining experience for every guest. This role requires excellent communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet customers promptly and warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide them with menus.
- Order Management: Present menu specials, make recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders. This includes being knowledgeable about ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Service Delivery: Deliver food and drinks to customers in a timely and professional manner. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and address any concerns or requests.
- Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints and issues with a calm, professional, and composed demeanor, escalating to a manager when necessary.
- Table Maintenance: Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and organized dining area throughout the shift.
- Financial Transactions: Present bills, process payments accurately (cash, credit card, and other forms), and handle all transactions responsibly.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
- Restaurant Operations: Assist with opening and closing duties, which may include setting up tables, rolling silverware, and general cleaning.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including those related to food handling and serving alcoholic beverages (if applicable).
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Prior experience as a waiter, waitress, or in a similar customer service role is highly desirable.
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills with a positive and polite attitude. The ability to listen actively and communicate clearly is essential.
- Customer Service Orientation: A genuine passion for providing excellent service and a desire to make guests feel welcome and valued.
- Multitasking & Time Management: The ability to manage multiple tables and tasks simultaneously, especially during peak hours, without compromising service quality.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to think on your feet to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage: A solid understanding of menu items, including ingredients, preparation, and beverage pairings.
- Teamwork: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with colleagues to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in order-taking, table settings, and presentation.
- Basic Math Skills: Proficiency in basic arithmetic to handle payments and make change accurately.
- Flexibility: Availability to work in Shifts from 8.00 AM to 11.00 PM for 9-10 hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 4 Monthly Offs - Provident Fund & ESI Facility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18, ₹22,000.00 per month
