Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Data Governance Specialist
with strong expertise in
Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Quality, and SQL
to support our data management and regulatory reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the
Private Equity or Capital Markets domain
, with a proven track record in ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and quality for business-critical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and manage data governance frameworks across business functions.
  • Establish and maintain data lineage, metadata, and data quality standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Support regulatory reporting initiatives, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of submissions (must have experience in at least 2 out of 4 regulatory reporting areas).
  • Analyze, cleanse, and validate data sets using SQL.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Private Equity and Capital Markets to align data governance practices with business objectives.
  • Identify and remediate data quality issues, ensuring auditability and transparency.
  • Provide training and guidance to business and technical teams on data governance best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience in Data Governance, Data Lineage, and Data Quality frameworks.
  • Hands-on skills in SQL for data analysis and validation.
  • Background in Private Equity or Capital Markets domain.
  • Proven regulatory reporting experience (at least 2 of 4 key reporting areas).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work 3 days per week onsite in Mumbai.
