Job Description: Shift Incharge - Assembly

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Incharge for our Assembly unit. The ideal candidate will hold a B.Tech degree and possess strong experience in production and assembly processes. This role is critical to ensuring smooth operations, effective manpower management, and achievement of production targets within assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production Management:

  2. Oversee assembly operations to ensure the timely achievement of production targets while maintaining quality standards.

  3. Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions to address deviations.

  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency.

  5. Assembly Operations:

  6. Supervise and coordinate all assembly activities, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  7. Optimize workflows to enhance productivity and minimize waste.

  8. Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of tools, equipment, and machinery.

  9. Manpower Handling:

  10. Manage a team of operators and technicians, ensuring optimal workforce deployment.

  11. Train, guide, and motivate team members to enhance their skills and performance.

  12. Address and resolve any manpower-related challenges effectively.

  13. Shift Management:

  14. Plan and organize shift schedules, ensuring adequate staffing and smooth transitions.

  15. Conduct shift briefings to communicate goals, updates, and safety instructions.

  16. Prepare and submit shift performance reports to management.

  17. Quality Assurance:

  18. Ensure that all assembly activities comply with quality and safety standards.

  19. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address defects or inconsistencies.

  20. Health and Safety Compliance:

  21. Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular audits.

  22. Address and report any workplace hazards or incidents promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly/production operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and manpower handling skills.
  • Proficiency in shift planning and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
