Role Overview
As a Senior Software Developer at Dreamcast, you will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable backend systems and modern web interfaces. You will work primarily with NestJS and TypeScript for backend development and should have experience with at least one modern frontend framework like React, Vue, Angular, or In this role, you will be a key contributor to designing microservices-based architectures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring clean, maintainable code across both front-end and back-end applications. A basic understanding of PHP with Laravel will be considered an advantage for maintaining or integrating legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using NestJS and TypeScript.
  • Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces using React, Vue, Angular, or (any one).
  • Design and implement scalable, secure microservices and APIs.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy services using CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentorship.
  • Coordinate with UI/UX, product, and QA teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
  • Occasionally contribute to or maintain systems written in PHP (Laravel).
  • Stay updated with modern development trends and technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong expertise in NestJS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and API design.
  • Proficiency in at least one frontend framework: React, Vue, Angular, or
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with Git, containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to write unit and integration tests for both backend and frontend code.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint planning.
  • Some exposure to PHP with Laravel is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GraphQL, WebSockets, and real-time data handling.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), or Redis.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services.
  • Open-source contributions or personal portfolio projects.
