Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Development Lead, Engineering to lead and coordinate our development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in , , and research and development (R&D), coupled with leadership abilities to oversee PR approvals, PR merges, and cross-functional team collaboration.

As a Development Lead, you will bridge the gap between stakeholders, developers, QA, and DBA teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient execution of projects. You will also play a pivotal role in driving innovation and maintaining development standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering growth and technical excellence.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

2. Development and Technical Oversight:

  • Provide hands-on technical guidance in , , and other relevant technologies.
  • Oversee the development process, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and timelines.
  • Approve and manage Pull Requests (PRs) and merge processes to maintain code quality and stability.

3. Research and Development (R&D):

  • Drive R&D initiatives to evaluate new tools, frameworks, and methodologies for improving development efficiency.
  • Encourage innovation within the team to solve complex technical challenges.

4. Collaboration with Teams:

  • Work closely with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts (DBAs) to integrate and optimize database solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and set expectations.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and potential risks.

6. Project Management:

  • Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep teams on track.

7. Process Improvement:

  • Establish and refine development workflows to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

8. Documentation and Compliance:

  • Ensure proper documentation of project requirements, architecture, and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with security and data privacy regulations.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in , , and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing PR approvals, merges, and code reviews.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

Preferred:

  • Experience collaborating with QA, DBA, and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based (AWS) environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
