Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Developer-Administrator to design, develop, and manage analytics solutions across our organization. This role combines hands-on report development with platform administration, ensuring performance, security, and scalability of the Microsoft Fabric environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, datasets, and reports using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Manage and administer the Microsoft Fabric workspace, including capacity, access control, and performance optimization.
  • Build data pipelines and dataflows to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) into semantic models.
  • Implement governance, data refresh schedules, and version control for reports and datasets.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Fabric capacity usage, refresh failures, and gateway connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define KPIs, visual standards, and reporting automation.
  • Support user onboarding, permissions, and workspace administration.
  • Maintain documentation for data models, reports, and configuration changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 48 years of experience in Power BI development and administration.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric architecture, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Pipelines.
  • Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M), SQL, and data modeling best practices.
  • Experience managing Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace permissions, and Power BI Service administration.
  • Familiar with Fabric Data Engineering, Data Activator, and integration with Microsoft 365 / Azure ecosystem.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks.
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Power BI or Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate certification.
