Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This full-time role requires 7 to 10 years of end-to-end business intelligence and analytics experience. The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Microsoft BI stack to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions that drive actionable insights and support enterprise decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL (Mandatory skill), with proven experience in writing optimized queries to handle large and complex datasets for reporting and analytics purposes.
  • Expertise in Power BI (Mandatory skill) to create visually compelling and interactive dashboards, custom visuals, and actionable analytical reports.
  • Strong command of DAX (Mandatory skill), developing advanced calculations, measures, and calculated columns within Power BI models.
  • Hands-on experience using SSRS to design, develop, and deploy standard and custom reports in a production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of SSMS for effective database administration, troubleshooting, querying, and optimization on SQL Server platforms.
  • Skilled with SSIS, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data processes with an emphasis on data integration and migration best practices.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including normalization, star/snowflake schemas, and best practices for building performant BI data models.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, gather business requirements, and transform them into technical BI solutions that drive business outcomes at scale.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and performance-tuned data models for business stakeholders across multiple domains.
  • Perform complex data transformations and aggregations using SQL, DAX, and ETL tools like SSIS to ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into interactive and actionable BI solutions.
  • Develop and deploy SSRS-based reports and integrate them seamlessly with other BI components and business applications.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of data models, reports, and databases, troubleshooting bottlenecks and recommending improvements proactively.
  • Ensure documentation, best practices, and standards are created and followed for BI development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions, mentor junior developers, and participate in code reviews to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the BI team.
  • Stay current with new Power BI features, Microsoft BI stack advancements, and emerging business analytics tools to ensure innovative, scalable, and secure BI solutions.
