Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to manage all aspects of the company's payroll process. The ideal candidate will be proficient in payroll software, have a strong understanding of payroll regulations, and be able to manage a high volume of payroll transactions accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full-cycle payroll process for clients, including data entry, processing, and distribution of paychecks.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Prepare and file all necessary payroll tax returns.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy of payroll data.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls for payroll processing.
• Prepare and analyze payroll reports, identifying trends and potential issues.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and discrepancies.
• Stay current with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
• Assist with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Implement and maintain payroll software and systems.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments as needed.
• May be responsible for overseeing a payroll team
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in payroll management.
• Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with multi-state payroll preferred.
