Position Overview:

The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. This role ensures that all MEP activities meet design, quality, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret MEP drawings, designs, and specifications.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during all project phases.
  • Supervise and monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and review BOQs, technical submittals, and material approvals.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.

    Manage and track project progress, ensuring adherence to cost and time targets.
  • Support procurement by identifying MEP materials and suppliers.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure all MEP activities comply with HSE standards.
  • Lead a team of junior engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5- 10 years of experience in MEP design, execution, and supervision.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
  • Hands-on experience in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Project.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Sound knowledge of construction safety standards and quality control practices.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous exposure to high-rise or mixed-use development projects is an advantage.ibilities
