Role Purpose

The Divisional Head will lead the strategic and operational execution of smart metering projects within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with Adani Groups mission to drive sustainable infrastructure and technological innovation. This role is pivotal in managing end-to-end project delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and fostering stakeholder collaboration to achieve business objectives. The Divisional Head will play a critical role in scaling smart metering solutions, enhancing operational efficiency, and contributing to the broader goals of Adani Enterprises Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of smart metering projects across the assigned region, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the deployment and integration of smart metering systems, leveraging advanced technologies and best practices.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for smart metering projects, ensuring fiscal discipline and accountability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all project activities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team, promoting the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in smart metering systems or related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in team leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, quality assurance, and risk management.

Educational Background

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Masters degree or certification in Project Management preferred.

Years & Type of Experience

  • 7-11 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or technology projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the smart metering or utilities sector.

Domain Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of smart metering systems, technologies, and deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in the utilities sector.
  • Experience in managing large-scale, multi-location projects with diverse stakeholder groups.

Digital & Operational Tools

  • Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with smart metering platforms, data analytics tools, and IoT technologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management tools for budgeting and reporting.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align project goals with organizational objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven track record of driving team performance and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
