Job Description

  • Provide first-level technical support via service desk to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, including monitoring network activity, analyzing security events, and following incident response protocols under guidance.
  • Assist in maintaining IT systems, including updates, configurations, and troubleshooting across operating systems, servers, and applications.
  • Participate in compliance audits, document procedures, and ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards like GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Gain proficiency in using security tools for threat detection and mitigation while implementing and managing security controls.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating active listening, empathy, and technical proficiency both verbally and in writing.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior members, on IT infrastructure, security projects, and DevOps initiatives.
  • Learn and apply best practices in IT security, system administration, and traffic management, including cloud services and High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
  • Resolve service desk tickets efficiently, escalate issues as needed, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Participate in training sessions on cybersecurity, IT systems, and scripting/programming (e.g., Python) for automation.
  • Contribute to system reliability initiatives and operational improvements while staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Be flexible to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges in IT and security domains.
