Senior Consultant

STATUS:
37.5 hours per week, Permanent.

SALARY:

Anywhere in India, Kochi or Bangalore (preferable)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WILL INCLUDE
:

• Deliver projects to a high level of technical competency.
• Support the preparation of tenders, proposals and submissions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and other legislative and company requirements.
• Be pro-active in collaborating with the UK team on project or proposal work.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements include:

• 5+ years' experience in power systems of related field.
• Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent.
• Excellent technical skills and proven experience of carrying out power system analysis, especially transient and dynamic analysis, protection coordination or earthing design studies.
• Experience in the use of one or more of the following software packages: DIgSILENT Power Factory, IPSA, PSSE, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP or SKM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise under pressure of deadlines, while working independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel.

Desirable requirements:

• Post-graduate degree in electrical engineering.
• Capability in DPL, Python, or other modelling languages.

TNEI is seeing a vast array of new opportunities to study these challenges and work with our clients to solve issues, enable change and stay at the forefront of innovation in the power sector.

TNEI's Connections team works with a variety of clients to provide consultancy services, primarily in the areas of power system analysis and grid connection studies, including load flow; fault level; dynamic G99/Grid Code compliance studies such as fault ride through, voltage control, and frequency response; power quality assessments including G5/5, EREC P28 and P29; insulation co-ordination studies; SSO Studies and EMT/RMS Model development. We also perform protection, earthing, and arc flash studies. We combine these skills to deliver comprehensive and leading-edge innovative solutions to our clients.

The Connections team has a strong existing workload with an extensive client base, and we have plans to expand our team to India. As a result, TNEI is looking to recruit a highly capable, self-driven and motivated power system consultant with at least 5 years' experience to join our India Team.
