Job Summary
As the Senior Manager of Payroll Core Data, you will lead a global team responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of payroll-related data across multiple systems. In addition to overseeing payroll data governance and HRIS processes, you will manage the Project Management and Workforce Management teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence. This role requires deep expertise in HRIS, data governance, and leadership, with a strong focus on strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The team will execute a broad range of HRIS data management and payroll configuration tasks, including updates to employee records, job classifications, pay rates, and benefit programs within the Client Data Change Management (CDCM) function. Responsibilities also include managing case workflows in PPT and Solution Centers, handling PARs, customer follow-ups, and PHI form reviews. Additionally, the role supports payroll compliance and tax operations by processing one-time check reports, managing classification updates, and coordinating tax documentation and offboarding procedures. Accuracy, compliance awareness, and the ability to manage high-volume, cross-functional tasks are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities Responsibility % Time Allocation
- Develop deep understanding of all HR/payroll systems and their impact on data integrity 5%
- Manage customer escalations and ensure resolution with root cause analysis 5%
- Lead or support strategic and tactical projects related to technology and process improvements 5%
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide expert input on strategic initiatives 5%
- Oversee test case development and execution for system enhancements 5%
- Translate corporate goals into actionable team-level objectives 5%
- Manage workforce scheduling, workload distribution, and service delivery (Workforce Management) 5%
- Lead Project Management team to deliver initiatives on time and within scope 5%
- Define and monitor KPIs to ensure data accuracy and service excellence 5%
- Design and implement onboarding, training, and mentorship programs for team development 5%
- Provide leadership training on hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions 5%
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs 5%
- Drive year-over-year improvements in customer satisfaction and employee engagement 5%
- Guide and support leaders across levels to develop skills and navigate challenges 5%
- Delegate complex projects to team leads while maintaining oversight 5%
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned 5%
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's/Master's in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
Experience:
- 12+ years overall, with 5+ years in HRIS, payroll, or data management
- 2+ years in senior leadership, preferably global/shared services
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP, SPHR, CPP, CEBS, PeopleSoft 9.2, Indian Payroll & Compliance
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
- Expert knowledge of payroll, benefits, and employment laws
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance
