We're now looking for a Video Editor who can elevate our visual storytelling across platforms. What You'll Do

At Sugar St., our content team works in two flows: short-form social storytelling and longer campaign films.

  • Social-First Editing:
    Craft Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos that captivate audiences and drive engagement.

  • Campaign & Brand Films:
    Cut together longer narratives for product launches, brand campaigns and internal projects, ensuring cohesive story arcs.

  • Collaborate:
    Work closely with strategists, designers and content creators to turn scripts and raw footage into polished visual stories.

  • Manage Assets:
    Organise, manage and archive footage and edit assets, ensuring efficient workflows across multiple deadlines.
  • Stay Current:
    Keep up with platform trends and evolving editing techniques, bringing fresh ideas to every project.

What We're Looking For

We value skill and passion over pedigree. Ideally, you should have:

  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio of short-form and campaign work.
  • Mastery of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Motion graphics experience (After Effects) is a plus.
  • An eye for storytelling - pacing, colour, music and text overlays - and the ability to adapt your style to different brands.
  • Strong organisational skills and comfort juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience with animation or typography design.
  • Still photography or art direction interests.
  • Familiarity with social media trends and how editing plays into them.
