Job description

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our

finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial processes,

ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate financial reports. The Senior

Accountant will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and

mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

o Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

o Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.

o Monitor and report on key financial metrics and trends.

  1. General Ledger Management

o Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

o Ensure all journal entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards.

  1. Compliance and Auditing

o Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

o Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules.

  1. Budgeting and Forecasting

o Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

o Monitor variances and provide explanations for discrepancies.

  1. Taxation

o Prepare and review tax filings, including VAT, GST, income tax, and corporate

tax returns.

o Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.

  1. Accounts Payable and Receivable

o Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

o Ensure timely collection of payments and resolution of discrepancies.

  1. Team Leadership

o Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff.

o Review work performed by junior team members for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications and Skills

 Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA,

CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.

 Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least

2 years in a senior role.

 Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)

and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

 Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), tax

regulations, and financial reporting standards.

 Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong

attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

 Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with

internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
