Area Business Manager-Critical Care

Job Summary
The Area Business Manager Critical Care is responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and customer engagement for the critical care product line within a defined geographic territory. This role involves strategic planning, team management (if applicable), stakeholder / hospital relationship building, competitor monitoring, and achieving revenue targets. The role requires deep knowledge of critical care therapies/products and strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales & business strategies for critical care products to meet or exceed revenue, volume, and market share targets in the assigned area.
Identify market opportunities key accounts (big hospitals / corporate institutions), KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders), KBLs (Key Business Leaders), etc. and devise plans to penetrate / grow business.
Manage customer relationships: hospital administrators, ICU heads, doctors, nursing staff, procurement/distributor partners.
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, product developments; provide market intelligence to the head office.
Plan and execute promotional and medico-marketing activities in compliance with regulatory / pharma norms.
Ensure proper coverage of territory: ensure sales visits, call frequency, product availability, order follow-ups.
Forecast sales for assigned area; report performance regularly; take corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved.
Provide training, mentoring, feedback to field / sales representatives (if the role has a team) to ensure their performance.
Manage distribution channels, stock pipelines, and ensure customer satisfaction and service standards.
Work with marketing, medical affairs, supply chain teams to launch new products, manage product lifecycles, and ensure promotional materials are aligned with strategy.
