Global Controller – Group Finance

The Global Controller – Group Finance & Reporting plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of global financial reporting and consolidation. This position is responsible for preparing group-wide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and internal policies. The role also focuses on improving system-based controlling, maintaining KPIs, and providing analytical insights to support the company's financial strategy. The Global Controller partners closely with senior management, auditors, and regional finance teams to drive excellence in global finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the group.
  • Support global reporting and intensify system-based controlling (SAP, Power BI, Excel).
  • Monitor and manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across all entities.
  • Perform ad hoc evaluations and financial analyses to support management decisions.
  • Maintain and develop KPI systems for business performance monitoring.
  • Work with senior management to define and implement the company's financial strategy.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and transparent reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, international standards, and company policies.
  • Manage and oversee internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Oversee and analyze company accounting practices, budgets, forecasts, and tax compliance.
  • Collaborate with regional finance and controlling teams to ensure consistency in financial reporting across global entities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in Controlling, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in controlling or accounting within global or multinational entities.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS or relevant financial regulations and legislation.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analytics).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional collaboration with international teams.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality.
  • Experience in coordinating audits and ensuring effective internal controls.
  • Fluency in English; other languages a plus.
