Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman / Architect to join our RETAIL design agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, technical plans, and layouts using AutoCAD and related software. This role requires excellent design sense, accuracy, and the ability to translate conceptual ideas into precise working drawings that meet project requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:Drafting & Design:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and details using AutoCAD for showroom,shops and other retail elements.(specifically)
  • Convert conceptual sketches, design briefs, and specifications into technical drawings.
  • Assist in the development of design concepts, 3D models, and presentation drawings.
  • Ensure that drawings comply with regulations, and company standards.
  • Update and revise drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, or clients.

Coordination & Documentation:

  • Maintain drawing records, revision logs, and version control for all project documents.
  • Coordinate with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams to ensure design consistency.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, permit drawings, and as-built plans.
  • Support the team in site measurements, surveys, and documentation.

Technical & Project Support:

  • Conduct quality checks on drawings before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare layouts, schedules, and material specifications as required.
  • Provide drafting support during construction and coordination meetings.
  • Ensure that deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of quality.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, Architectural Drafter, or similar role (typically 2–5 years).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, or Lumion is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of architectural detailing, section drawings, layout MEP drawings etc for showroom,shops and other retail elements.(specifically)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills in [insert required language(s)].

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Retail interior design layouts, fit-out drawings, or Retail/commercial projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM workflows and 3D visualization tools.(is an advantage)
  • Ability to produce presentation drawings and rendered plans.
