About Us:
Adobe Lightroom is a cloud based service for people who love photography. It offers powerful tools that a photographer needs to edit, organize, store and share photos across desktop, mobile and web. The Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team that builds this innovative imaging service is looking for a hardworking and highly motivated engineer and technical problem solver to help build a scalable and responsive mobile application on Android, that brings powerful image editing and organising tools in the hands of photographers.
What you'll do:
- As an MTS II for the Adobe Lightroom Android product, you will work with a team of passionate developers. You and your team will add features in products which are strategic to Adobe's growth.
- Work with our Product Manager, fellow engineers in the team and other partners in defining roadmap, scope and work for releases.
- Own your features end-to-end starting from gathering requirements, design, implementation and instrumenting unit & automation test cases.
- Constantly strive towards making the app responsive by optimising memory and processing footprint; eliminating crashes & ANRs.
What we're looking for:
- BTech or MTech in Computer Science or equivalent - Minimum 2 years of hands-on software development experience
- Strong Java/Kotlin/C++ programming skills along with one of the scripting languages like Python/Perl - Experience in Android app development and latest advancements in the same
- Good/practical understanding of architectural patterns
- Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus
- Practice with product development and release methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Scrum
