We are seeking an experienced
Cognos Developer
with strong expertise in
ETL processes and Data Modelling
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing BI solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    Cognos reports, dashboards, and Framework Manager models
    .
  • Perform
    ETL development, data integration, and transformation
    from multiple data sources (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Work on
    data modelling
    (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modelling) to support analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Optimize existing reports and ETL processes for better performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI/ETL solutions.
  • Conduct
    unit testing, performance tuning, and debugging
    of Cognos reports and ETL workflows.
  • Ensure
    data quality, integrity, and governance
    across reporting environments.
  • Provide support for production issues, enhancements, and system upgrades.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–8 years of experience as a
    Cognos Developer
    .
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    Cognos Framework Manager, Report Studio, Workspace, and Dynamic Cubes
    .
  • Proven experience in
    ETL development
    using tools like
    Informatica / DataStage / Talend / SSIS
    (any major ETL tool).
  • Strong knowledge of
    SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization
    .
  • Experience in
    data modelling
    (conceptual, logical, physical models).
  • Exposure to
    Data Warehousing & Data Lakes
    .
  • Ability to work in Agile environment and interact with cross-functional teams.
