Project Manager – New Store Development

Location: India (Travel as required)

Reporting To: Co-Founder

Experience Required: 4–8 years

About the Role

As Project Manager – New Store Development at India's leading hospitality chain, you'll own the execution of store fit-outs and refurbishments from start to finish. Your mission? Deliver high-quality, brand-aligned spaces that reflect our design ethos — all while managing time, cost, and compliance across a fast-paced rollout plan.

You'll bridge creative design and practical execution, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to bring each store to life. If you thrive in an entrepreneurial setup and are passionate about creating great spaces, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of new store projects — from site feasibility and budgeting to final handover.
  • Maintain and enforce brand design standards across all store formats.
  • Collaborate with architects, MEP and kitchen consultants, and VM specialists to deliver cohesive spaces.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams: Ops, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Legal.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors across civil, HVAC, kitchen, and signage verticals.
  • Review and optimize BOQs, identify value-engineering opportunities without compromising design.
  • Conduct regular site visits to track progress, quality, and compliance.
  • Maintain the Projects Playbook, vendor database, and drive continuous improvements via post-opening audits.

Who You Are

  • 4–8 years of hands-on experience in project management or fit-outs within hospitality, retail, or experiential sectors.
  • Proven track record of executing projects end-to-end, including feasibility, execution, and handover.
  • Proficient in reading and working with technical drawings, BOQs, MEP/kitchen layouts, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of vendor management, market rates, and cost benchmarking.
  • Comfortable balancing design intent with functional execution and operational realities.
  • Highly organized with experience in managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • AutoCAD
  • Excel / Google Sheets
  • Project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project, or equivalents)

Your Team

You'll work closely with:

  • Founders – for brand vision, approvals, and budgeting
  • Design Partners – architects, MEP & kitchen consultants, VM teams
  • Internal Teams – Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, Legal
  • Vendors & Contractors – across civil works, HVAC, kitchen, signage, etc.
