About Us

We're a bootstrap tech startup based in Bangalore launching an exciting new vertical, creating motion graphic explainer videos for AI and SaaS companies. We help innovative products tell their stories through beautiful UI animation, clean storytelling, and polished production.

This is a founding role in our video production vertical. You'll be our first hire, building everything from scratch, pipelines, templates, style guides, and eventually leading a team as we scale.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a rare T-shaped talent, deep expertise in UI centric motion design, with enough breadth to own the entire video production pipeline solo. You'll transform product briefs into scroll stopping explainer videos that drive conversions.

What You'll Do

End to End Video Production

• Turn product briefs into compelling 60–90 second scripts using proven frameworks (Problem → Solution → Proof → CTA)
• Create storyboards and styleframes that sell the vision before a single frame is animated
• Design and animate UI heavy motion graphics in After Effects, bringing SaaS interfaces to life
• Build 3D device mockups in Blender (laptop/phone inserts with screen tracking, camera moves, realistic lighting)
• Edit, color grade, and mix audio to broadcast standards
• Direct AI voice over (ElevenLabs), clean up audio, and ensure professional delivery
• Export multi aspect ratio deliverables (16:9, 1:1, 9:16) with captions and safe-area optimization

Systems & Scale

• Build a reusable asset library: transitions, lower-thirds, callouts, MOGRTs, device scenes
• Establish pipeline standards: Figma → After Effects → 3D → Edit workflows
• Create internal documentation so future team members can hit the ground running
• Collaborate with US-based clients (some overlap with US time zones expected)

Must-Have Skills

Story & Scripting

• Turn technical product features into simple, compelling narratives
• Create shot lists and rough storyboards that guide production

UI Design

• Figma: clean layer organization, component systems, text styles, SVG exports
• Rebuild UI screens for animation (no flattened PNGs—everything needs to be motion-ready)
• Create styleframes that match brand guidelines and get client approval before animation starts

2D Motion (After Effects)

• Import Figma designs seamlessly using AEUX/Overlord
• Rebuild UI as editable shape/text layers for precise control
• Master the Graph Editor: clean easing curves, natural motion, professional polish
• Execute screen compositions, cursor interactions, hover states, scroll sequences, animated charts/counters
• Build MoGRT templates for recurring elements (titles, lower-thirds, callouts)
• Use light expressions (valueAtTime, ease(), inertial overshoot, sourceRectAtTime) and Essential Graphics controls
• Maintain clean project organization: named layers, precomps, parenting hierarchies, controllers

3D (Practical, Production Ready)

• Blender fundamentals: device modeling or using existing kits, UV mapping for screen inserts, HDRI lighting
• Execute camera moves with depth of field, simple materials, and render efficiently (Eevee/Cycles)
• Composite 3D renders back into After Effects seamlessly
• Know when to fake depth in AE (2.5D/parallax) vs. when real 3D is needed
• Bonus: Familiarity with Element 3D, Rotato, or Cinema 4D for quick device spins

Editing & Finishing

• Cut tight, engaging sequences in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Beat based pacing that matches music and maintains viewer attention
• Music and SFX selection with tasteful ducking, EQ, and compression
• Mix to web standards: -14 to -16 LUFS loudness
• Add captions (SRT format) and export multi-aspect deliverables with safe-area awareness

Production Operations

• Impeccable file hygiene: consistent naming conventions, organized folder structures, proxy workflows
• Understand licensing (fonts, stock assets, music)
• Use for client reviews and feedback loops
• Work efficiently with some overlap into US business hours for client collaboration

Design: Figma

3D: Blender (device kits, HDRIs) ± Element 3D / Rotato

Editing/Grading: Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
