Edge Operations Engineer

Location:
Pune / Mumbai (Preference) | Noida (Can be considered)

Experience Range:
4 to 6

Compensation:
Up to ₹16 LPA for B2 Level (4–6 Years)

1. Edge Operations Engineer (Edge Focused)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform
    live migrations of Edge nodes
    during planned maintenance activities.
  • Configure and manage
    logging, metrics, and alerting
    for store clusters.
  • Deploy and manage
    secrets for new markets
    and ensure operational compliance.
  • Provide
    lab support
    functions previously handled by Google PSO.
  • Monitor and maintain
    store cluster health via Google Cloud Console.
  • Create and manage
    Service Café incidents
    for operational issues.
  • Process and triage
    change requests
    for production environments.
  • Apply
    maintenance windows
    and perform
    VM restarts or graceful shutdowns
    via Google Cloud.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve
    Robin Master synchronization issues
    .
  • Participate in
    Major Incident Management (P1)
    for triage and service restoration.
  • Coordinate store-impacting changes with
    Restaurant Technology Support
    teams.
  • Manage
    release coordination and deployment
    for Edge platforms as per GDCC guidelines.
  • Maintain and update
    runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
    .

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    services and console operations.
  • Hands-on experience with
    Kubernetes
    , containerized environments, and
    Edge computing
    .
  • Familiarity with
    incident management tools
    (ServiceNow, Service Café).
  • Experience with
    monitoring and alerting tools
    like Prometheus, Grafana, or Google Operations Suite.
  • Ability to
    troubleshoot synchronization and VM-level issues
    efficiently.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent documentation and operational reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with
    secrets management tools
    (HashiCorp Vault, Google Secret Manager).
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    and
    release management
    processes.
  • Prior experience in
    retail or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant)
    technology environments.
