Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager - Projects to oversee and coordinate various projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of project management principles. The person will be responsible for defining project scope, setting objectives, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.

   • Lead the planning, installation, and commissioning of AC electrical systems for solar projects.
   • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
   • Develop detailed work plans and schedules to optimize resources and meet project deadlines.
3. Technical Expertise:
   • Provide technical guidance and support for the design and installation of AC electrical systems.
   • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during project implementation.
4. Safety and Compliance:
   • Ensure adherence to relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
   • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
   • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
5. Team Leadership and Training:
   • Supervise and mentor electrical technicians and junior team members.
   • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
   • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to promote team cohesion and productivity.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including installation progress, inspections, and testing results.
   • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for internal and client review.
   • Ensure all project documentation is organized and readily accessible for audits and future reference.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
• Proven experience in AC electrical systems design and installation, preferably within the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (NEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
