Manager Second Line of Defense (2LoD) | Audit Quality | FS & Non-FS | Pan India

Function: Audit Quality (Second Line of Defense – 2LoD)

Position: Manager

Location: Pan India

About the Role:

The Second Line of Defense (2LoD) team plays a key role in enhancing audit quality by providing direct, real-time support and coaching to engagement teams before audit opinions are signed. The goal is to ensure every engagement is delivered in accordance with professional standards, emphasizing quality, independence, and technical excellence.

1 Financial Services (FS) – 3 Roles Open

Locations: North | South | East | West India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent, in-depth reviews of significant risks and key audit areas.
  • Support engagement teams in achieving KAM-compliant audit files.
  • Enhance "learning on the job" for audit team members.
  • Bring efficiency and consistency in the audit approach.
  • Contribute to Quality & Risk (Q&R) initiatives such as milestone monitoring, MIS reporting, and standardization.

Eligibility / Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of KAM and Indian Auditing Standards.
  • Experience in Financial Services audits.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or with minimal supervision.

2 Non-Financial Services (Non-FS) – 4 Roles Open

Locations: South | East | West India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent reviews of significant risks and focus areas on audit engagements.
  • Help engagement teams achieve KAM compliance and strengthen documentation.
  • Coach teams on audit methodology and technical quality.
  • Support Q&R initiatives and contribute to process improvement and standardization.

Eligibility / Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Auditing Standards and audit methodology.
  • Experience in Non-Financial Services audits (Manufacturing, Retail, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Strong coordination abilities and ownership mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership qualities.
