About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Python Developer with 6+ years of experience to lead and mentor a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python, web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI, and hands-on experience in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Python developers, providing guidance on best practices and code quality.
  • Architect, design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Python.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for complex applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, QA, and DevOps.
  • Conduct code reviews, design discussions, and provide technical feedback to ensure maintainable, high-quality code.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, development processes, and technical documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose adoption where relevant.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Python development, including leading a team or project.
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Extensive experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of software security best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and background job processing (Celery, RQ).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (PyTest, unittest) and TDD/BDD practices.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and practices, monitoring, and logging systems.
  • Experience in high-traffic, large-scale application development.

Job Type: Full-time
