About the role:
We are looking for a highly creative and culturally relevant Content Manager to take full ownership of our meme and trend-based social media pages. This role is not about corporate buzzwords; it's about authentic, relatable, and instantly shareable content that drives massive engagement and brand love.
What You'll Be Memeing (Responsibilities):
- Own the Vibe:
Develop, execute, and iterate on a content strategy specifically for meme pages across platforms. - Brand Campaign Integration:
Plan and execute meme-based content campaigns that subtly (or hilariously) drive awareness or promotion for key brand initiatives and product launches. - Rapid Response:
Be plugged into daily culture and trends to create instant, relevant memes and reactive content that capitalizes on fleeting viral moments. Speed is everything. - Content Generation:
Write hilarious, concise, and on-brand copy, and work directly with designers/editors to create engaging short-form video and static content (yes, mostly memes). - Performance Analytics:
Go beyond likes. Track key metrics like shareability, saves, reach, and virality to understand what makes our audience hit the "send" button. - Compliance & Brand Safety:
Ensure all memes are high-quality, non-offensive, and align with our overall brand (even when we're roasting ourselves).
What You'll Bring (Required Experience & Skills):
- 1–3 Years
of professional experience managing social media, content, or community, with a portfolio heavily focused on highly engaging, humorous, or meme-style content. - Campaign Experience:
Proven ability to translate business goals or brand narratives into genuinely funny, high-performing social content and campaign concepts. - Genuine Internet Native:
You don't just follow trends; you instigate them or, at the very least, spot them before your competitors do. - Meme Theory Expertise:
Deep, current, and encyclopedic knowledge of meme formats, their contextual use, and internet etiquette (we need a Content Manager, not a boomer). - Writing Chops:
Excellent, witty copywriting skills with the ability to convey a complex idea in a three-word caption. - Data-Informed Humour:
Comfortable using analytics tools to measure why a post went viral and applying those learnings to the next one.
