Job Overview:

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and skilled Gardener to take care of plants, landscaped areas, lawns, and green spaces across residential and commercial client sites. The role involves routine garden maintenance, plant health care, soil preparation, and assisting in landscaping and plantation activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with gardening tools, a basic understanding of plant care, and the ability to work outdoors in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily plant care including watering, pruning, trimming, and shaping of plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Conduct planting of new trees, shrubs, flowering plants, seasonal plants, and ground covers as per instructions or landscape plans.
• Prepare soil beds by mixing manure, fertilizers, compost, potting soil, and other media to support healthy plant growth.
• Identify and remove weeds, pests, and unwanted growth to maintain plant health and garden aesthetics.
• Monitor plant conditions regularly and report any disease, pest infection, or nutrient deficiency to supervisors.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment such as pruners, shears, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and watering systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of garden areas, lawns, pathways, pots, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist in landscaping projects including lawn installation, mulching, soil leveling, and setting up new garden layouts.
• Perform repotting, mulching, composting, and other plant care practices when required.
• Follow safety instructions while using tools and ensure safe working practices at site locations.
• Coordinate and work closely with senior landscapers, horticulturists, and supervisors during plantation and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and meet quality standards set by the company.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of plant species, gardening practices, soil types, fertilizers, pesticides, and plant care techniques.
• Ability to safely operate gardening equipment (pruners, cutters, hedge trimmers, lawn mowers, blowers, etc.).
• Physically fit, comfortable with outdoor work, lifting, bending, and standing for long hours.
• Minimum 1 year of practical experience in gardening, nursery work, or landscaping maintenance.
• Ability to understand instructions, follow schedules, and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to different client sites within Mumbai as required.
