Patient Care Support

  • Assist nursing staff in basic patient care activities (feeding, bathing, oral hygiene, mobility, toileting, etc.).

  • Help in transferring, positioning, and ambulating patients safely.

  • Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP) under supervision.

  • Observe and promptly report any change in patient condition to the nursing staff.

  • Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.

  • Support patients with comfort measures and emotional reassurance.

Clinical & Administrative Assistance

  • Prepare and maintain patient care areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.

  • Assist in setting up equipment and materials for procedures.

  • Transport specimens, documents, and equipment as required.

  • Maintain and restock ward supplies and linen.

  • Support accurate documentation in ward records and logs as directed.

Infection Control & Safety

  • Follow standard infection control procedures (hand hygiene, PPE use, waste segregation).

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the ward and equipment.

  • Report any hazards, spills, or faulty equipment immediately.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and support staff.

  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, relatives, and colleagues.

  • Participate in shift handovers and ward meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent.

  • Certificate/Diploma in Patient Care/Healthcare Assistance/Nursing Aide (preferred).

  • Prior experience (6 months–2 years) in hospital ward setting desirable.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic patient care and hygiene knowledge.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.

  • Physical fitness to handle patients and ward duties.
