Role & responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly bookkeeping for U.S. clients using QuickBooks Desktop
  • Support bank and credit card reconciliations, cleanup, and tie-outs
  • Prepare draft financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, GL review) for review
  • Assist with U.S. payroll processing using QuickBooks Payroll/ADP/Gusto
  • Support payroll compliance filings 941, 940, W-2, 1099, DE 9/DE 9C
  • Assist with U.S. state sales tax filings including California CDTFA
  • Maintain accurate workpapers and monthly closing schedules
  • Follow process checklists and workflows
  • Coordinate with senior accountants for review comments and adjustments
  • Respond to basic IRS/State payroll/sales tax notices using templates
  • Contribute to a team-based environment with daily coordination and reporting

Preferred candidate profile

  • 3-5 years hands-on experience with U.S. bookkeeping and payroll (required)
  • Must have strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop (required)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Payroll, ADP or Gusto payroll platforms
  • Familiar with U.S. payroll compliance forms (941, 940, W-2, 1099, DE 9/DE 9C)
  • Experience assisting with state sales tax filings (CDTFA preferred)
  • Strong reconciliation and month-end accounting skills
  • Good verbal and written English communication
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-minded
  • Certifications (optional): QuickBooks Certified, NIIT/ICAI ATC, Excel Certification
  • Must be willing to work U.S. shift (1:30 PM 10:30 PM IST)
