Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate EDA (Electronic Design Automation) Tool Developer to join our CAD/EDA team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EDA tools, flows, and scripts that support our hardware design teams. You will collaborate closely with RTL, DFT, Physical Design, and Verification teams to improve design productivity, performance, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal EDA tools, scripts, and flows to support digital and/or analog design processes.
  • Automate various aspects of the design flow, including synthesis, place-and-route, verification, and signoff.
  • Develop custom front-end/back-end tools and GUIs for better usability and integration.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to understand tool requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Integrate and customize commercial EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens) to fit into internal design flows.
  • Support debugging and root-cause analysis for tool-related issues during design cycles.
  • Optimize design flows for runtime, scalability, and resource usage.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing, and support for developed tools and scripts.
  • Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to improve design productivity.

Required :

  • Strong programming/scripting skills in one or more of the following: Python, Perl, TCL, C/C++, Shell.

  • Solid understanding of digital IC design flow (RTL GDS), and familiarity with tools such as:

  • Logic synthesis (e.g., Design Compiler, Genus)

  • Physical design (e.g., Innovus, ICC2)
  • Verification (e.g., VCS, Questa)

  • DRC/LVS/Signoff (e.g., Calibre, PrimeTime)

  • Experience developing or maintaining automation scripts for EDA flows.

  • Familiarity with Linux development environments and version control systems (e.g., Git).
