JOB SUMMARY: As a Senior Product Manager in the Content Platform team, you will lead the product vision and roadmap for catalog quality, metadata accuracy, and title lifecycle management across the JioHotstar platform. You will drive initiatives to ensure our vast and diverse content library is consistently accurate, discoverable, and optimized for consumption across devices and user segments. In this high-impact role, you will build scalable platforms and tools that enable content to be structured, high-quality, and personalized; delivering a seamless and delightful experience for millions of users.

ABOUT THE TEAM: At JioHotstar, our Platform team powers the technology backbone that enables streaming at scale for over 500 million users. The Content Platform team focuses on ingesting, enriching, organizing, and managing content so it is ready to be delivered across devices and geographies. From metadata and media assets to title availability, rights, and compliance, the team builds systems that make content usable and impactful. The Catalog Quality charter owns the end-to-end systems that ensure content is published with high accuracy, metadata richness, and timely availability. We drive automation, tooling, and governance for everything from title readiness to taxonomy structure and localization coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for catalog quality, metadata enrichment, and title lifecycle management
  • Build systems and tooling to automate metadata validation, standardization, enrichment, and correction using both traditional and AI/ML approaches
  • Partner with editorial, content operations, engineering, and data science teams to improve catalog accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enable timely content go-live
  • Establish and maintain scalable metadata schemas, taxonomies, and ontologies to support discovery, compliance, and personalization
  • Own title lifecycle workflows, supporting ingestion, validation, publishing, expiry, and deprecation of titles across categories and languages
  • Drive instrumentation, monitoring, and reporting for catalog health and quality metrics (e.g., coverage, freshness, duplication, error rates)
  • Enable multilingual and regional content workflows through structured localization and variant management
  • Collaborate with discovery, personalization, and search teams to ensure metadata quality enhances the user experience
  • Champion continuous improvement through benchmarking, internal feedback, and evolving user expectations
  • Identify and execute opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational efficiency across the content pipeline
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in platform, content, data, or operations-heavy environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex workflows and design scalable solutions
  • Comfort working with structured data, systems, and tools, even without prior metadata-specific experience
  • Data-driven and detail-oriented; comfortable defining KPIs, monitoring data quality, and driving improvements
  • Technical fluency and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on APIs, pipelines, and system design
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across operations, engineering, editorial, and product design
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to build systems that improve quality, speed, and scale
  • Passion for building high-quality systems that scale across languages and geographies
  • Experience working in content-rich domains like streaming, media, e-commerce, or data platforms
  • Understanding of content catalogs, metadata models, taxonomies, and structured data systems
