We are seeking an experienced BI Tools Administrator with strong expertise in Tableau and Power BI administration, including migration projects. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years of experience in administering BI platforms, ensuring availability, security, performance, and successful migration of BI environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Tableau Server/Tableau Online and Power BI Service/Report Server.
  • Lead and support migration of BI platforms (e.g., Tableau to Tableau Cloud, Tableau to Power BI, or on-prem to cloud environments).
  • Manage installation, upgrades, patching, licensing, and user administration.
  • Configure and monitor schedules, extracts, data refreshes, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure seamless data connectivity and governance.
  • Implement security, role-based access, and audit compliance for BI tools.
  • Troubleshoot system and report issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Provide technical support, best practices, and documentation for developers and end-users.
  • Support capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization of BI environments.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders during BI tool migration projects, ensuring minimal business impact.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 7–10 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in BI tools administration.
  • Hands-on expertise in Tableau Server and Power BI administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting).
  • Proven experience in migration projects (e.g., Tableau on-prem to cloud, Tableau to Power BI, or version upgrades).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database connectivity, and data sources integration.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, SSO, OAuth, Kerberos, and role-based access.
  • Understanding of BI governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity management.
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Shell) for automation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Certifications
  • Tableau Server Certified Associate or Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Certification (nice to have)
