Validation Engineering Manager

This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in lab setup, test automation, model-based validation, and cross-functional collaboration. The individual will oversee the planning, development, and execution of test strategies to validate software and hardware interactions across various ECUs. A critical aspect of the role includes enabling scalability and standardization of test platforms to support global engineering teams and accelerating development cycles.

Your Impact

• Lab Management:

o Lead day-to-day operations of the HIL labs ensuring optimal utilization and safety compliance.

o Oversee procurement, setup, and maintenance of test benches, racks, simulation tools, and instrumentation.

o Define and enforce lab safety protocols, calibration schedules, and documentation standards.
- Test Case Development & Execution:

o Lead the design and automation of test worksflows for embedded systems (ECUs, controllers, displays etc.).

o Manage automated testing workflows.

o Ensure comprehensive test coverage including functional, regression, diagnostics and fault injection testing.
- Team Leadership:

o Lead and mentor a team of test engineers and lab technicians.

o Conduct performance reviews, training programs, and skill development initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:

o Interface with systems engineers, software teams, and validation leads to align test coverage with product requirements.

o Coordinate with global teams for test strategy alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Project Management:

o Plan resource allocation, timelines, and cost estimates for lab-related deliverables.

o Track project progress, report KPIs, and ensure timely delivery of test milestones.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in embedded systems validation, with at least 8 years in HIL and automated testing environments.
• Proficiency in Hands-on experience with HIL platforms such as SpeedGoat, EtherCAT, dSPACE, NI etc.
• Strong understanding of control systems, automotive/agricultural ECUs, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience in leading teams and managing lab operations in a global engineering environment.
