Commis I

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commis I to join our team at Taj Agra, with 1-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cold section and Asian cuisine.

Roles and Responsibility

• Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and preparing high-quality dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
• Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance culinary offerings.
• Ensure all food products are stored properly and used within their expiration dates.
• Participate in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of cold section cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Familiarity with Asian cuisine and its various regional styles.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail and adhere to high standards of quality and presentation.
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety protocols and hygiene practices.
