Competency Requirements
- Establishing Quality Standards
Define and implement quality control measures as per automotive industry standards.
Ensure adherence to customer specifications and regulatory requirements (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control.
- Process Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions.
- Quality Audits
Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party audits.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF and other regulatory requirements.
Address non-conformities and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Root Cause Analysis
Conduct detailed failure analysis using methodologies like 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagram.
Develop action plans to eliminate recurring quality issues.
Train teams on problem-solving techniques for defect prevention.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and automotive quality standards
Expertise in root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA, Fishbone)
Experience in internal & external audits
Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, SPC, and MSA
Proficiency in handling customer complaints and CAPA implementation
Strong leadership and team management skills
