Role Application Support Engineer - Level 3 Support (Java Developers)

Exp 3 to 5 yrs

Location Mumbai (Thane)

Shift- Rotational - 9 am to 6 pm OR 12pm to 9 pm.(No transportation provided)

Working Days - 6 days (Monday to Saturday)

Primary Skill Set - We need L3 level support folks who have supported as Java Developers & have any BFSI project experience.

Core Java + Spring + AWS + Debugging

We are looking for an experienced L3 Support Engineer with strong technical skills in Core Java, Spring Framework, and AWS, along with exposure to the General Insurance domain. The candidate will be responsible for resolving complex application issues, supporting production environments, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the final escalation point (L3) for all Java application-related incidents and service requests
  • Handle L3-level support for enterprise applications with a focus on stability, performance, and quick resolution of production issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues escalated from L1/L2 support teams.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes in collaboration with development teams.
  • Analyze logs, monitor applications, and ensure system uptime and availability.
  • Document known issues, resolutions, and RCA reports.
  • Participate in deployment support and post-deployment validation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Core Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Good working knowledge of AWS services – EC2, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and microservices-based architecture.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and log monitoring tools like Splunk or ELK.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Domain Exposure:

  • Exposure to the General Insurance domain is required – understanding of insurance-related workflows such as policy issuance, endorsements, claims, and renewals is a plus.
