Description

Job Role: DC Engineer

Primary Skill: Network Admin

Location: Chennai,Mumbai and Pune

Experience: 6-12 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Oversight: Manage and maintain our LAN/WAN infrastructure, including all critical network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Issue Resolution: Provide L2 support by troubleshooting and resolving network issues, escalating to L3 support when necessary.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and oversee monitoring tools to ensure optimal network performance, health, and security. Optimize network resources for peak efficiency.
  • Security Management: Ensure robust network security by managing patches, access controls, and monitoring for potential breaches.
  • Backup & Recovery: Handle backup procedures for network configurations and perform regular disaster recovery tests to secure data integrity.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for network setups, procedures, and policies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside IT team members, developers, and stakeholders to integrate and support network services effectively.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 6-12 years in network administration with a focus on LAN/WAN environments.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in managing network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
    • Solid understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Experience with VLANs, VPNs, and various networking technologies.
    • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds.
    • Knowledge of network security practices and QoS.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
    • Proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
