Job Summary:
The Direct Tax Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of the client's Direct tax compliance. This role involves coordinating with internal departments, external consultants, and tax authorities. The Direct Tax Tax Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in tax planning, reporting, and maintaining compliance with various tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely filing of various tax returns
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
Tax Planning:
Provide recommendations on tax-efficient structures for business transactions and initiatives via tax opinions, discussions etc.
Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal departments, such as finance, accounting, and legal, to gather necessary information for tax filings.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely recording of tax-related transactions.
Audit Support:
Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external tax audits.
- Assist in providing tax clearance to the audit teams.
Act as a point of contact for auditors and tax authorities during examinations.
Risk Management:
Identify potential tax risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and policies.
Reporting:
Provide insights into the financial impact of tax-related decisions and changes in tax laws.
Training and Development:
Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations and provide training to relevant personnel within the organization.
- Keep abreast of technological advancements in tax compliance software and tools.
