Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Welding Engineer or Welding Manager to drive advanced welding engineering efforts at our facility in Wada.

This key role includes the development of welding procedures, quality assurance, and hands-on team leadership aligned with international engineering standards. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, qualify, and implement welding procedures (WPS, PQR, SWP) in compliance with international codes and standards. Conduct inspections and quality assessments to ensure compliance with structural integrity and safety standards.

Lead root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective measures. Select and manage welding equipment, tools, and consumables efficiently. Collaborate with design, QA/QC, and project teams for integrated project execution.

Train and mentor welding teams, promoting best practices and safety compliance. Maintain documentation and reports on welding procedures, inspections, and project compliance. Introduce process improvements and stay informed of advancements in welding technology.

Specialized KnowledgeExpertise in welding Carbon Steel (P1), Cr-Mo Steel (P3-P5), and Austenitic, Ferritic, Martensitic steels (P6-P8). Experience with materials like 304, 316, 321, 410, Inconel, Duplex, and Super Duplex. Proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW, ESSC, FCAW, groove welding, weld overlays.

Knowledge of GTAW automation and exotic material welding is advantageous. Familiarity with ASME Sections I, II, V, VIII, IX; B31.3; and PED standards.

Understanding of heat treatment, NDT (LPE, MPT, UT, RT), and consumables management. Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Engineer (CWE), IWE are preferred.8–15 years of experience in welding engineering within oil & gas or industrial fabrication sectors.

Experience with fabrication of boilers, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers per international standards. Strong documentation and code compliance background. Skills and CompetenciesAnalytical problem-solving for complex welding challenges.

Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities. Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with exceptional reporting and record-keeping skills.
