Assistant Manager Network

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end IT infrastructure, network security, and information security operations for Marengo Asia Hospitals. The incumbent will ensure high availability, cybersecurity compliance, secure clinical connectivity, and seamless IT readiness for hospital operations, expansions, and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Network Operations

• Manage 24x7 IT infrastructure operations including data center, servers, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and hospital networks.
• Ensure 99.5% network and system uptime across hospital locations.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network architectures for clinical and non-clinical systems.
• Monitor network performance, latency, and downtime; ensure downtime is kept within defined SLAs.

Information Security & Cybersecurity

• Own IT security posture including firewalls, endpoint security, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access controls.
• Manage enterprise security tools such as FortiGate / Checkpoint / Sophos firewalls, endpoint protection (CrowdStrike, Sequrite, Microsoft Defender, etc.).
• Implement and enforce security policies, firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, and patch management.
• Support internal and external IT security audits, compliance requirements, and vulnerability assessments.

Server, Data Center & Cloud Management

• Administer Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Hyper-V).
• Manage storage solutions (RAID, NAS, SAN) and ensure backup & disaster recovery readiness.
• Oversee backup tools such as Druva / Veeam / Commvault and conduct periodic DR drills.
• Support hybrid cloud environments including Azure AD, Office 365, Intune, and cloud storage platforms.

Monitoring, Automation & Service Delivery

• Implement and manage network and infrastructure monitoring tools (Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, WhatsUp Gold, etc.).
• Drive automation of alerts, patching, and routine IT tasks using tools like PowerShell, WSUS, and endpoint management platforms.
• Ensure proactive issue detection through NOC/SOC practices and ITSM tools (ServiceNow or equivalent).

Hospital Systems & Clinical IT Support

• Support and integrate hospital applications such as HIS, PACS, EMR, ERP, HRMS, CRM, and DMS systems.
• Ensure secure and uninterrupted connectivity for clinical systems, OT networks, IP-PBX, CCTV, access control, and patient Wi-Fi.
• Coordinate closely with biomedical, clinical, operations, and admin teams.

Expansion, Integration & Projects

• Support new hospital launches, OPD expansions, and acquisitions with timely IT setup and readiness.
• Ensure 100% IT readiness before hospital go-live.
• Lead post-acquisition IT integration and standardization within defined timelines.

Vendor & Cost Management

• Manage ISPs, OEMs, and technology vendors including SLAs and escalations.
• Optimize network bandwidth, licenses, and cybersecurity vendor costs with measurable savings.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, licensing, renewals, and documentation.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor IT engineers and support staff.
• Coordinate with corporate IT, hospital leadership, and external partners.
• Maintain SOPs, network diagrams, asset registers, and RCA documentation.

Education & Experience

• MCA / BCA / B.Tech / BE in Computer Science or IT.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network security, or healthcare IT environments.
• Prior experience in hospitals or multi-location enterprises is strongly preferred.
