Accountant Job Description & Roles and Responsibilities

JOB TYPE : FULL TIME

SALARY : 18K TO 25 K

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, ensuring transparency and compliance with accounting standards .
  • Preparation of Financial Statements: Prepare essential financial documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial health.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, costs, and revenue forecasts, assisting management in making informed financial decisions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, helping to guide the organization's financial planning.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, and advising on tax strategies.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess the accuracy of financial records and identify areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required. Advanced certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are often preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is advantageous, with familiarity in accounting software and financial reporting tools
